    Arrow Still-life Props (stone slabs)

I keep seeing these marble or granite slabs in still-life paintings....where do you get those?? I mean small enough for a painting? Or to people just make it up? LOL, it's driving me crazy because I need one. Please tell me before I lose my mind!

I just make it up most of the time ,I.ve got a thick piece of styrafoam and chunked it up and beveled the edges then did a painted finish on it to look like a piece of stone. It works well as it is light to handle and i can change the finish on it to make it into different types of stone. But if you want the real thing you can pick it up at a garden supply nursery such as a granite stepping stone.Or if you have a stone mason around who makes head stones they will sell you off cuts so a friend of mine tells me
    Cheers Dennis

Thanks for the reply, Dennis. I was hoping there was an easier way to obtain those materials but, alas, it's never that easy.
